NAZARE

Entrance to Nazare is typical of many Portuguese harbour entrances. Narrow and fine in settled conditions but not much fun with a following wind of 30 knots which we had the day before on arrival. The marina is inside an active fishing port. Note the fishermen mending nets.
Nazare is mainly a holiday town but specializes in dried fish especially dried cod and sardines. The fish are dried on racks on the beach.
